Spring is coming and that means warm days at our favorite parks are just around the corner! The many parks near Meridian are a local treasure and we feel so lucky to be able to spend time here playing and relaxing with friends and family.
EAGLE ISLAND STATE PARK
Eagle Island State Park is its own recreational epicenter with zip-lines, a water slide, sandy beaches, horseback riding trails, and more. It is a 545-acre day-use park that features a popular swimming beach, a grassy picnic area, a waterslide, a disc golf course, and hiking and horseback riding trails. The beautifully well-maintained park has some of the best splash pads in the Valley. And the community events will keep your social calendar full all year long. The waterslide is awesome for the kiddos and is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Interested in Paddle Boarding? Rentals are available within the park. GATEWAY PARKS
Looking for a place to entertain the kids in the winter months, but don’t want to make the drive to the mountains? Located inside Eagle Island State Park, Gateway Parks offers snow tubing, a terrain park for skiing and snowboarding, hot cocoa, snacks and a campfire.
SETTLER'S PARK
Every summer Settlers Park puts on a movie nights after the sun goes down on the big lawn. Grab all your friends, family, neighbors, and enjoy a beautiful night watching a movie underneath the stars. Each week, community partners will join the movie night to provide giveaways. There will also be a concession stand with treats and snacks to enjoy while you watch the movie! The best part about this movie night is that its free! Grab your chairs or blankets and join Meridian Parks and Recreation for a family-friendly movie!
